The Funding Network - Wednesday 24th March 2010

An amazing event that lets you experience a radically new approach to philanthropy. The concept is simple - we invite five different projects to talk about their work for six minutes, explaining what they would do with a donation of £5,000.  You then have the chance to ask them some questions and the groups then leave the room.   What follows is a highly enjoyable and very inspirational "live pledging session" where members of the audience can pledge exactly what you want towards any individual project. Some people support several projects, some none.  We have a diverse range of attendees and the pledges made at events are very diverse as well, ranging from £100 to £5,000.   There’s no pressure or obligation to give – indeed many people enjoy coming along just to be part of a fun, worthwhile evening and learn at first hand about social change issues.  Alternatively you can give anonymously, before, during or after the event!  Thanks to generous sponsorship from the Yorkshire Bank, the event is free of charge.   For further details please download the flier here.

 

Dragon Boat Spectacular - Saturday 26th June 2010

The Dragon Boat Race is back again for a third year.  We are holding it on Saturday 26th June 2010 - and dont worry, it will be finished in time for the football lovers to go and watch the World Cup that evening.
