There are many well-known national charities doing fantastic work for children throughout the UK. However, did you know that there are over 400 voluntary and community organisations working in Leeds alone, making a difference to the lives of young people who are living in the most disadvantaged areas of the city?
As ambassadors of the the Leeds Children's Gift Fund, the Leeds Children's Champions motivate, inspire, encourage and contribute. Their aim is to continually grow the Fund, as it grows in size, so will the grants, and so will the impact.
A Leeds Children's Champion can help in a variety of different ways:
- Make a donation to the Fund
- Adopt the Leeds Children's Gift Fund as 'Charity of the Year'
- Run a fundraising event
- Offer their valuable services in kind
- Host a lunch to recruit more champions
The benefits of becoming a Leeds Children's Champion are as follows:
- Philanthropic - Bringing about a real change for young people in Leeds
- Latest Knowledge - The Foundation will keep you informed of issues, challenges, progress and new initiatives in Leeds
- Meaningful Business Relationships - By teaming up with like-minded colleagues, you will build better working relationships accross the city
- Morale - Your company will be supporting staff in developing themselves by taking an active role in improving the lives of young people in Leeds
If you want to be a major part of this initiative to be the most innovative and progressive city in the UK, that is working together to tackle real issues affecting our young people, please contact us by calling Amanda Wingfield on (0113) 242 2426 or by email by clicking here.
